Cloudy Peaks

Cloudy Peaks is a new band formed in 2024 by pianist and composer Lorenzo Bellini together with saxophonist Kasper Rietkerk, double bassist Guy Dempsey and drummer Luke McCarthy. 

 

 The band, born within the walls of the Royal Academy of Music in London, gets its name from the imaginary mountains that the London sky hides behind its almost-ever-present curtain of clouds, giving those who can picture them a feeling of sublime, positive weakness. We want to embrace the human need of discovery that comes from the imagination of something grand and unknown, compared to the usual urban horizons.
